Orangutan Kisses Pregnant Woman’s Unborn Child
While visiting the Colchester Zoo in England last July, Jay Clarke and his family had a very special interaction with one of the park’s orangutans, Rajang.
When Clarke’s 37-week pregnant partner approached the primate’s housing, Rajang became fixated on her belly. After placing it up to the glass, the orangutan gave it a few kisses and then bowed his head, as if in reverence of the unborn child.
Note that when Jay himself tries to interact with orangutan or places his belly against the glass, he gets a wave of the animal’s hand.
“Truly a special animal that has touched our hearts,” writes Clarke about the experience.
AMAZING. Just another reminder that we’re all related.
