Piers Morgan Live is coming to an end.

Piers Morgan Live began on 17 January 2011 and the show replace Larry King Live in the 9.00pm time slot following King’s retirement. After lackluster ratings over the past three years, the CNN prime-time show’s cameras will switch off for the final time.

“CNN confirms that “Piers Morgan Live” is ending,” the network said in a statement. “The date of the final program is still to be determined.”

“It’s been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings,” Morgan told the New York Times on Sunday.

Morgan (born Piers Stefan O’Meara) and professional known as Piers Morgan, is a British journalist and television host as well as former television talent competition judge on America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent.

CNN did not comment on Morgan’s future with the channel.
