Scarlett Johansson has been offered $10 million to play the lead role in a live-action adaptation of the Japanese manga comic Ghost in the Shell. Rupert Sanders is set to direct the film. The 29 year-old actress recently starred in the Avengers: Age of Ultron, and in the past played in Ironman 2, and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, so this won’t be Johansson’s first rodeo.
IS RYAN GOSLING NEXT TO BE A COMIC BOOK CHARACTER?
DreamWorks was interested in giving Margot Robbie the lead role up until she signed with Warner Bros.’s DC Comics for a lead role in Suicide Squad. Johansson “should have some time in her schedule, considering rumors that her character will play a small-to-non-existent role in Captain America 3, as opposed to the very significant role she had in The Winter Soldier.”
