Taylor Swift, the fairy godmother of celebrities, has struck again by lending a hand to 11-year-old Naomi Oakes, a little girl who is suffering from leukemia.
Naomi, a Taylor Swift superfan, is being forced to undergo six to nine months of treatment to battle her disease, during which she will not be able to leave the hospital – and has chosen to use Taylor Swift’s hit song “Bad Blood” as her inspirational ‘fight song’ against the disease. Since Naomi will be hospital-bound she will be forced to miss Taylor’s 1989 World Tour (a fate no person should suffer) even though her parents gave her tickets to the show as a Christmas gift.
Naomi and her parents created this video to get T-Swifts attention, and help her spread the word about her GoFundMe page and raise money to help fight her disease.
Taylor responded with this heartwarming note, and instead of simply sharing Naomi’s video, she donated $50,000 to her cause. Because that’s just what Taylor Swift does. Read her heartwarming note below.
“To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”
This little girl’s joy makes me want to cry. Taylor even wrote her the sweetest note!
