General Mills aired their latest commercial for Honey Nut Cheerios– starring BuzzBee and Usher.

The commercial features Usher dancing with his recently released song “She Came To Give It To You” playing in the background.

“We saw great results from the Nelly ad, as we hope to with the Usher ad. But at the core they have two distinct messages,” said Gail Peterson, General Mills’ associate marketing director for Honey Nut Cheerios.

Usher was cast due to his broad appeal. The 36-year-old singer and entertainer has 50.5 million Facebook fans, 9.7 million Twitter followers, and has eight Grammy Awards. According to BusinessWeek, “surveys by E-Poll Market Research show that Usher’s appeal is particularly strong among, basically, everyone: parents, teens, and women, as well as among African American, Asians, and Latinos identify him as talented and stylish.” Not to mention, Usher is more popular than ever since becoming a judge on the hit television show The Voice.
