Before watching the video below, please be warned that it contains some fairly graphic images of Bart, the zombie cat.
While Bart’s owner and neighbors may be calling the whole situation “a miracle,” it sounds suspiciously like the start of a zombie apocalypse to us.
On January 15, Bart was hit by a car and found in a pool of blood in the middle of the road. Pronounced dead, Bart was then buried by his owner. While that sounds like a nightmare for any pet owner, the story only got slightly more terrifying when Bart showed up at a neighbor’s house five days later looking for food. Yes— Bart the dead cat had returned from the grave.
Local veterinarians can only assume that Bart had lost consciousness after being struck by the car, but came to several days later and clawed his way out of the ground (that’s some Pet Sematary sh*t!) Bart will now need to undergo surgery for a broken jaw and some open wounds. The cat is also expected to lose an eye, which was damaged in the accident.
This might be a miracle to some, but it should sound pretty alarming to others! Zombie survivalists, steer clear of Tampa Bay.
